Institute of Industrial Technology and Engineering is established In April, 2009 and located in coal city Dhanbad(Jharkhand). It is a unit of National Education Welfare Society Dhanbad. It is affiliated to St. Peter's University, Chennai & affiliation number is JH-003 and also affiliated to Karnataka State Open University, Mysore & affiliation number is ROOTS/KSOU/AT -321. It is known for providing technical and skilled manpower suited to various needs of industry .It offers various professional courses in business administration, computer application, and polytechnic, paramedical and lots more diploma courses also which are approved by UGC, DEC, AICTE New Delhi.
The Institute has already registered a hopping growth fulfilling the expectations of the students and the needs of the industry of the industry of other sectors in the process of socioeconomic development of the nation.

We are happy that St. Peter’s Engineering college established in the year 1993 has been declared a Demand –to-be- University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Education), Government of India, New Delhi, under Section 3 of the UGC,Act 1956 from 2008-09 onwards in the name and style of St. Peter’s University under the trust , St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research.
